She studied Fine Arts at Münster and Munich arts academies, German Literature at the University of Münster and Dance and Choreography at the SNDO at the Theatre School, Amsterdam. Her work is situated on the threshold of dance, performance and visual arts. She seeks to precisely articulate sense and experience, through performances, installations and books. From 2008 to 2010, she was Dance and Performance curator at Frascati Theatre in Amsterdam, where she co-curated the Something Raw festival in 2009 and 2010. She collaborated with choreographer and performer Paz Rojo and has worked on several projects by David Weber-Krebs, Hooman Sharifi and the live art group Private Thoughts in Public Places. Beutler has been a permanent cast member of The Show Must Go On by Jérôme Bel since 1999.
