Lady Gaby has prepared a public literary per formance entitled Ambitions of a Young Woman especially for the City of Women. Her poetr y deals with ever yday life and encompasses ins tructions on how to improve oneself and prolong youth, some ironic twists in beauty trends, as well as fears surrounding a lover getting away with a younger woman. It also reflects the aesthetics of urban banality, in particular disappointment at the contemporary decline of the urban. A co-founder of the Flush art group, Lady Gaby focuses on art in non-artistic places: indeed her speciality is conquering public spaces - such as laundries, beauty salons, trams, phone booths and elevators - with poe try. In this public per formance, she will develop one of her literar y characters in collabor ation with the audience. This persona might be an »über frau« with a mobile phone and a suitcase, a poetess bathing in the sun, or a sex bomb with silicone implants.
