Apokalipsa Reading: Apokalipsa journal in collaboration with Drustvo SKUC hosted roughly 20 women poets and writers. In addition, Apokalipsa presented their gender issues (72/2003 and 78-80/2004), which focused on the topic of social gender. The central theme of the next gender issue (2005) was female writing and feminist epistemology.
The goal of this poetry-prose marathon is to establish connections with the audience and also with the connective words among individual artists. There is no fear of lack of interesting costumes, accompanying video projections, bodies and faces on stage. With the expressiveness of our own texts we intend to hit at least the margin of a performance, with the goal of connecting women's literary writing in Slovenia with the rich media content of the upcoming week of the City of Women festival. This is the second year Društvo ŠKUC has continued its evening of readings by female authors. Hopefully, the popular belief that there are only a few female writers in Slovenia proved false once again.
