Nostalgic Technologies, a multimedia exhibition at Ljubljana’s Rog Factory, will encompass photographs and video screening. In her artistic endeavours, Svetlana Boym connects old and new technologies, explaining – among other things – that mistakes and coincidences are a constituent part of technological development. In much the same way as mutations in the evolutionary process give rise to new species, Svetlana’s exhibition exposes mistakes from the perspective of both form and, consequently, content. All of this is rounded off by the major theme, which deals with the structure of memory and selective remembrance.
