Biography

David Krančan graduated with a degree in visual communication from the Department for Design at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana. He is a member of the editorial team at Stripburger. In 2014, he created a comic book for children, titled Grdina and Drunken Rabbit a year later. Both are based on the tales of Zverinice iz Rezije. In recent years, his illustrations are regularly published on the cover of Dnevnik Objektiv. When it comes to comics, Krančan places an emphasis on the visual aspect above all. In both theory and practice he focuses on the exploration of the limits of comics as an art medium and the specificities of comic strip narration.
