Born in 1977, visual artist and performer Tkáčová worked as an assistant at AFAD, visual art academy in Bratislava, and as program curator at the Hit Cultural Centre in Bratislava. Since 2000, Anetta Mona Chişa and Tkáčová have – as a team – been creating site- and time- specific visual installations and live-art actions. Their engaged pieces are not solely about art although the main aim is mocking the art system itself. They have held several solo exhibitions in Bratislava, Vienna and Prague, and exhibited at a great many major art events, mostly in Europe.
