Jaka Babnik graduated in sociology of culture and history from the Faculty of Arts (University of Ljubljana). Between 1998 and 2006 he worked as a photographer and editor of photography for the skateboard magazine Pendrek. He wrote and directed several renowned Slovenian skateboard films, such as Damage (2002) and Listen to Srečna Mladina (2006). In 2006 he co-founded the trans-Balkan street magazine Kontejner, editing it until 2009. In addition to his work as an artist and photographer, Babnik is also a co-founder and co-owner of the Rostfrei Publishing House.
