This glossary, also known as a vocabulary, or clavis, is list of terms, which define certain practices of contemporary visual arts and performances that utilise media carriers for audio-visual archiving. In the Web Museum the glossary is organised according to artistic types from the domain of modern and contemporary visual and media art. It also includes some vocabulary from the fields of contemporary theatre practices, dance and performances, not consistently, but adjusted to the needs of the Web Museum users. The glossary contains brief explanations of terms relevant to particular fields of visual art. Automatic computation of the interface connects a certain term from the glossary to practical examples of artistic practices, when such materials with the specific query are inputted in the Web Museum.
