Lina Saneh and Rabih Mroué are shooting stars within the contemporary Lebanese art world. Through their internationally seen and recognised work, they are greatly contributing to the development of critical and experimental contemporary Arab culture. Both were born in Beirut and studied theatre at the Lebanese University there. Mroué has written, directed, and acted in several well-known plays, performances and videos, including Extension 19(1997), The Red Dead Zone (2000) and Three Posters (2000). He works in Beirut at Future TV as a writer and director of short animation films and documentaries. Their collaborative production Biokhraphia has been admired since its premiere in 2002. In 2004 it has been presented at many international festivals, among them the Edinburgh Fringe; The London International Festival of Theatre; Göteborg Dance and Theatre Festival; Summer Academy Frankfurt; Tokyo International Arts Festival; KunstenFESTIVALdesArts, Brussels.
