Born in 1975, Anetta Mona Chişa is visual artist and performer, who since 2001 has been working as a curator at the Trnava Synagogue Centre for Contemporary Arts in Slovakia, and since 2002 as a curator at the Department for New Media at the Academy for Art in Prague. Since 2000, Chişa and Lucia Tkáčová have – as a team – been creating site- and time- specific visual installations and live-art actions. Their engaged pieces are not solely about art although the main aim is mocking the art system itself. They have held several solo exhibitions in Bratislava, Vienna and Prague, and exhibited at a great many major art events, mostly in Europe.
