Fe-mail is the name of the electronic duo Maja S. K. Ratkje and Hild S. Tafjord, who are both members of the well-known Norwegian band SPUNK.
The music of Fe-mail is created through pure improvisation and without any pre-recorded sound. It is characterised by the use of old-fashioned analogue electronic and acoustic sound sources, such as panpipes, harmonica, and other undervalued instruments. Hailed by Thurston Moore as the best noise record ever, Syklubb Fra Halvete is intriguing and disturbing, yet manages to capture the imagination by remaining firmly focused all the way through. At the City of Women Festival, Fe-mail, in addition to their noise concert, presented a special improvised performance with renowned Slovene dancer Maja Delak.
