Inês Jacques initiated her musical studies in 1994. She played with recognised musicians like the pianist Rui Caetano and the Gualdino Barros Quartet. Currently, she studied jazz singing under Joana Machado, and is also active as a choreographer and dancer. She studied dance in Lisbon and Holland, and has performed and collaborated with such individuals as Vera Mantero, João Fiadeiro, Paulo Ribeiro, Francisco Camacho, Emmanuelle Huynh and Kirk Woolford. As a dancer she regularly collaborates with choreographer Tiago Guedes and has also worked with the Igloo collective. Her live music dance piece Good Girls, premiered at Lisbon’s Centro Cultural de Belem (CCB) in 2004, and in 2005 she created the Renée Adorée “live cinema” stage project.
