In this »speed-up« workshop, Alexis O’Hara guided participants in the direction and active production of unusual sounds, encouraging them to bring along various noisy tools which they normally don’t workshops / perceive as musical instruments (such as kitchen and office machinery, video games, telephones, etc.). To begin, she held vocal exercises with the participants, and then invited them to explore choreography in relation to the »instruments« brought in. Ultimately Alexis O’Hara produced a composition from the selected materials and present it live at the workshop’s end.
