Biography

P L A T E AU R E S I D U E is a young art duo made up of geographer and artist Aljaž Celarc (1989), and Eva Pavlič Seifert (1989), an art historian and theorist of visual art. Their art touches the fields of ecology, art, design and science, using and transcending the specific characteristics of each in a newly created visual product.

The main emphasis of their production is a visual and ethical battle against the passivity of today’s landscape and society. Working in video, photography and installation, they address the ecological and cultural aspects of the cataclysmic climate change currently unfolding. Working together leads them to create multilayered multimedia performances introducing experiences from the natural environment affected by global warming into exhibition spaces, reevaluating them in the process.
