Synopsis

In the performance with subtitle Fingernail Tabar problematises the effect of otherwise completely legitimate, the majority decision of Slovenian citizens, that Slovenia becomes a part of the European Union. The unbearable predominance of the majority over an anonymous individual Tabar symbolizes with an irritant feeling of pulling off his fingernails. The performance consists of ambulatory procedure of undermining a fingernail (Ablatio – separating the fingernail from the skin at the end of the finger) which he pulls off with surgical scissors and with a needle, on which there is the European Flag, fixates it on the place of a fingernail on chimera composed from national marketing archetype – endemic proteus which in the caudal part changes into the cast of a finger.
