Synopsis

The performance of Taja Ivančič resembles the stroke of a brush on the canvas of life. This gesture envelopes a woman, wife, mother, painter, lover, caretaker, warrior... Confined to endure the projections of society that defines her, she withstands it with inner power, transforming depersonalisation into resistance and shelter of poetical endurance inside her artistic madness, determined her brush will not be limited. In this manner, she gives the body and spirit to the brush that leaves behind beautiful traces of obsessive relations. Taja Ivančič received her master's degree on the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. She is the mother of five children. As a painter, she reached a limit in her work, where she decided to transfer the painting gesture into space and transform it with the performance into an intensive aesthetic event. Rudi Zven is a graduate engineer, Taja's life companion, poet, theatre producer, and actor.
