Biography

London artist Marisa Carnesky has been working in performance for over twenty years, creating cutting-edge cabaret, live art and theatre. She is best known in the UK for her large-scale multimedia live art ride Carnesky’s Ghost Train, which is permanently installed in Blackpool in northern England. She showed two one-woman shows at City of Women nearly a decade ago, including Jewess Tattooess, which also toured in Croatia and Serbia. She has also worked in cabaret clubs since the 1990s and regularly performs cabaret using stage magic and illusions. She teaches a course in how to devise cabaret at the Roundhouse in London that is now in its fourth term.
