Marko Batista, born in 1976 in Ljubljana, where he currently lives and works. Batista graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana in 2005 and finished his MA degree at Central Saint Martins in London in 2007. He is a sound researcher, video experimentalist and AV performer. He focuses on themes such as displaced soundscapes, image transformation processes, networking data, collaboration, linking concepts and hybrid spaces. He is interested in technology, sound layering, contemporary society, the diversity of art systems, and the politics of art. He is a founding member of the experimental multimedia group Klon:Art:Resistance.
