Synopsis

The lecturer Dubravka Duba Sambolec was talking about her artistical opus, which represents an articulation of epistemological and ontological interpretations of our existence. She mainly focused on her video performances, made from the year 1999 onwards. They talk about control, domination, submission and of the strategies of survival, they address the cultural repression of everyday life in the time of the crisis, the question of female identity and the disappearance of centre in the context of gobalisation. They are intended for showings in public spaces so they can communicate with random bypassers. She also presented some of her other multimedia installations ("Collectors"), sculptures, drawings, video performances, site-specific sculptures and digital photo collages.
