Synopsis

'Epizoo' takes up one of the old themes of Body Art - the exposure of the artist's body - while adapting it to the new possibilities opened up by current mechanical and computer technology. The result is a hybrid of performance and installation. Formally speaking, the piece is based on a set of pneumatic mechanisms attached to two metallic molds fixed to the artist's body. These devices are able to move different parts of the performer's face and body, such as the nose, buttocks, mouth, breasts or ears.
